Hachi is a Discord bot operated by FearlessKenji in North Carolina, United States. This Privacy Policy explains what information Hachi collects, how it is used, and how you can request deletion or ask questions.
By adding Hachi to a Discord server or using Hachi commands, you understand that Hachi processes information through Discord and through the services used to host documentation, support links, and bot-related pages.
Hachi provides Discord bot features for Twitch and Kick live notifications, streamer configuration, birthday reminders, reaction roles, and related server utilities.
Hachi uses Discord APIs to receive command interactions, component interactions, reactions, guild events, and other Discord events needed for enabled features.
Hachi only collects information needed to provide and maintain the bot.
When Hachi is added to or configured in a Discord server, Hachi may store:
This information is used to keep server-specific features working and to post bot messages in the correct channels with the correct roles.
When server administrators configure Twitch or Kick notifications, Hachi may store:
This information is used to check whether configured streamers are live and to post or update stream notifications in configured Discord channels.
When server administrators enable Twitch VIP or Moderator role sync, Hachi may store:
Broadcaster tokens are used to read Twitch VIP and Moderator lists and to subscribe to Twitch EventSub events for that broadcaster. Member Twitch access tokens are used only during verification and are not intentionally kept after the Discord user ID to Twitch user ID link is saved.
If you use Hachi’s birthday features, Hachi may store:
Hachi does not ask for or store birth year. Birthday information is used to show birthdays in the server and to post configured birthday reminders.
When reaction-role features are used, Hachi may store:
This information is used to create, edit, maintain, and clean up reaction-role panels and to add or remove roles when users react.
When you use Hachi commands or interact with bot buttons, menus, context menus, or reactions, Discord sends Hachi the command name, command options, user context, server context, and related interaction data needed to respond.
Hachi uses this data to run commands, update configuration, respond to interactions, and apply roles or feature settings. Hachi does not intentionally store ordinary command interaction data after responding unless the information is part of a configured feature, appears in logs, or is retained by Discord.
Hachi has the Discord Message Content intent enabled. Message content is used only for features that require it, such as converting an administrator-selected message into a reaction-role panel and detecting supported social-media URLs when automatic link fixing is enabled. The profile-installed Fix Social Links context menu processes the selected message on demand.
Hachi removes tracking data according to the supported platform and posts a replacement link through a third-party embed provider. Hachi does not fetch the social post while transforming the URL, but Discord and the selected embed provider may process the replacement URL to generate its preview.
Hachi does not use message content to build user profiles, run advertising, sell data, or train machine learning or AI models.
Hachi may create operational logs that include timestamps, server names, server IDs, owner usernames, Discord IDs, deleted panel cleanup events, command errors, API errors, crash reports, and stack traces.
Logs are used to diagnose issues, maintain the bot, investigate abuse, and protect reliability.
If you visit Hachi’s GitHub Pages site, GitHub may log visitor IP addresses and other technical data for security and service operation. This data is handled by GitHub under GitHub’s own privacy practices.
Hachi does not intentionally collect:

Hachi does not send Discord user birthday records to Twitch or Kick.
Hachi keeps information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above.
Some data may also remain in Discord, GitHub, Twitch, Kick, backups, or other third-party systems according to their own retention policies.
You can remove some data directly through Hachi commands. For example, you can use the birthday remove command to delete your stored birthday for a server. Server administrators can remove configured streamers, update notification settings, disconnect Twitch role sync, and manage reaction-role panels.
Server owners or administrators may remove Hachi from a Discord server at any time. Removing Hachi stops new server-related processing for that server, but prior logs or records may still be retained where reasonably necessary.
You may request access, correction, or deletion of information associated with you or your server by contacting FearlessKenji. We may need enough information to verify the Discord user ID, server ID, and request involved. Some information may be retained if required for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, backups, or legitimate operation of the bot.

California privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, may provide California residents with rights to know, access, correct, delete, and limit certain uses of personal information, depending on whether those laws apply to Hachi or its operator.
Hachi does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Hachi also does not knowingly sell or share personal information of users under 16.

Hachi is intended for use on Discord and is not directed to children under 13 or to anyone below the minimum age required to use Discord in their country. Hachi does not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Hachi, contact FearlessKenji and reasonable steps will be taken to delete it where required.
Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect Hachi data. However, no online service or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Hachi operates through Discord and may use Twitch and Kick APIs for streamer notifications. Hachi may also link to or be documented through third-party services such as GitHub Pages.
Third-party services have their own terms and privacy policies. FearlessKenji is not responsible for third-party content, policies, availability, security, or privacy practices.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of Hachi after changes means you accept the updated policy.
